The Basic Education students of Centro Escolar Las Piñas joyfully celebrated Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa on August 14, 2025, with the theme “Paglinang sa Filipino at mga Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa”.
The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Rev. Father Albert Addison, setting a solemn yet festive tone for the day’s events. Following the Mass, students from preschool to Grade 6 showcased their talents through various performances that highlighted the richness of the Filipino language and culture.
As part of the program, outstanding students were recognized for their achievements in different competitions such as Tagisan ng Talino (Quiz Bee), Poster Making, and Slogan Writing contests.
Through this celebration, the CELP community was reminded that language is not only a means of communication but also the heart and soul of our nation’s identity. The event served as a meaningful tribute to the beauty of the Filipino language and the depth of our cultural heritage.
