Centro Escolar Las Piñas marked its 50th Foundation Anniversary by strengthening its commitment to community welfare through CELP C.A.R.E.S.: Commitment to Action, Responsibility, Empowerment, and Service. The outreach program was specially organized for the residents of Maligaya Compound, Brgy. Pilar Village, Las Piñas City as a testament to the institution’s strong social responsibility. The initiative featured a variety of services that addressed both physical and mental well-being. These included a Dental Mission, Mental Health Consultation, Free Health Screening, and a Feeding Program, all aimed at providing accessible care to families in the area. The event emphasized the school’s belief that education must go beyond the classroom to support community needs.

College students from various programs took the lead in planning and executing the activities, guided by their program heads and partner health professionals. By applying their skills in real-life settings, the students gained meaningful hands-on experience while contributing to the improvement of community health.

Dentistry students provided free oral checkups and treatments to promote proper dental hygiene among residents. Meanwhile, Psychology students facilitated mental health consultations that helped raise awareness on emotional wellness, a vital yet often overlooked aspect of overall health.

Students from allied health programs conducted routine health screenings, including vital signs monitoring and basic health assessments, to help residents become more informed about their medical conditions. To further uplift families, Nursing and Hospitality students served nutritious meals as part of the Feeding Program, ensuring that care extended to nourishment.

CELP administrators shared their pride in the students’ compassionate service, emphasizing that their 50th year is not only a celebration of achievement but also a reaffirmation of purpose. Through CELP C.A.R.E.S., the school continues to empower learners to become responsible citizens—carrying forward its legacy of service, unity, and commitment to community development.
