CELP Celebrates 5th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony for Future Escolarian Nurses

The 5th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony took place on July 6, 2026, at the Resurrection of Our Lord Parish, with the theme, "Caring Beyond Limits: Empowering the Next Generation of Escolarian Nurses." The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the journey of the Nursing students as they prepared to embrace their calling as compassionate, competent, and dedicated healthcare professionals.

The celebration began with the Eucharistic Celebration of the Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Albert O. Alden, followed by the procession of nursing students, faculty members, school administrators, and distinguished guests. The event highlighted the importance of faith, service, and compassion as the students advanced in their nursing education.

A highlight of the program was the inspirational keynote address delivered by Dr. Carlito E. Balita, who encouraged the future nurses to remain grounded in their values and to serve others with compassion, excellence, and integrity throughout their professional journey.

The ceremony featured the symbolic Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting, followed by the solemn recitation of the Florence Nightingale Pledge and A Nurse's Prayer, signifying the students' commitment to the noble profession of nursing. Adding to the significance of the celebration, the Nursing students delivered heartfelt performances that reflected their hopes, aspirations, and dedication to becoming compassionate healthcare professionals.
